Jeanne Kay Thompson- Treasurer
Leadership begins with serving those you lead.
When Daniel began searching for the person who would help him lead the White County Sheriff’s Department into the future, he looked for someone with a servant’s heart. He wanted someone with integrity, a strong work ethic, and proven leadership skills.
Daniel wasn’t looking for just a friendly face or a well-known name to help secure votes—he wanted a dedicated leader. Someone who would be actively involved in the process of bringing positive change to the department. Someone committed to continuing to invest himself in our community.
The choice was clear.
Daniel is proud to announce that Tony Copeland has accepted his offer to join him in the movement to usher in change to YOUR sheriff’ department.
Tony Copeland has dedicated 26 years to a career in law enforcement. A lifelong resident of White County, Tennessee, Tony began his service as a road patrol deputy with the White County Sheriff’s Office, where he worked for two years. He then joined the city police department, serving as a patrol officer before being promoted to Sergeant and later to Lead Investigator.

Tony and his wife, Mindy have celebrated 31 years of marriage. They have four wonderful children and four precious grand kids with one more on the way in the Spring!
Looking ahead, Tony is embracing this next chapter in his life with faith and purpose, trusting God to lead him and his team in service to the people of White County.
By adding Tony to his team, Daniel is demonstrating that he recognizes true leadership. He continues to surround himself with individuals who know how to treat others with respect. It takes an experienced leader to recognize the skills and character needed to get the job done the right way.
